Who we are

Abyssal Deep Dive (Abyssal Deep Dive Co., Ltd.) is a dive center on Koh Tao, Thailand. This policy explains what happens to the messages you send us on WhatsApp and Instagram.

What we collect

When you message us, we receive:

• your name and profile name as WhatsApp or Instagram shows them, and your phone number or Instagram username
• the messages, photos and files you send us, and when you sent them

We don't collect anything else through these channels.

Why we use it

Only to answer your questions, arrange your courses and dives, and keep a record of what we agreed with you.

AI assistance

We use an AI assistant (Claude, made by Anthropic) to help draft replies to your messages. A member of our team reads every draft and decides whether to send it. Your messages are not used to train AI models.

Who else handles your messages

Only the services that carry and store them for us:

• Meta (WhatsApp and Instagram), which delivers the messages
• Anthropic, which provides the AI that drafts replies
• Cloudflare and Neon, which host and store our system (in Singapore)

We never sell your information or share it for advertising.

How long we keep it

We keep conversations so we have a record of your bookings and what we discussed. You can ask us to delete them at any time (see below).

Your rights

Under Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act you may ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, or object to how we use it.

Deleting your data

To have your messages and details deleted, message us on WhatsApp or Instagram with "Delete my data", or email phoom@abyssaldeepdive.com. We'll delete them within 30 days and confirm when it's done. We may keep only what the law requires us to keep, such as payment records.
